Fox Valley Animal Referral personnel and friendly and always have a smile, the reason for this is they plan to empty your account. Everything is charged, surprising they don't charge for the use of a pen and is way over-priced. They recommend way too many, horribly expensive tests and load your down with extremely expensive meds with many available over the counter. A clean, up-to-date facility but one that this virtually impossible to afford. Very disappointed.

Not sure what is going on with the impressively poor communication skills, including: face to face, phone and email. In my option good communication is essential for any health care situation. My guess is the standard operating procedures may be over-influenced by BluePearl’s Parent company, Mars Incorporated. This would make sense as Mars Incorporated is currently involved with litigation reflecting “Mars has failed to take action on the issue, despite clear knowledge of their support of the use of child and slave labor, ... read more

Absolutely horrible. Our cat was diagnosed with lymphoma at University of Florida. We began treatment at Blue Pearl with Dr. Kane. It became obvious he is like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, and his entire practice is set up so that you have little to no contact with him directly during months of treatment. He's very personable during your $150 initial consultation, but your $300+ weekly treatments include a $60 charge for an "examination" and good luck ever getting to speak with him. My wife had to create a fuss ... read more

Please if you love your pet like we did, don’t go to Blue Pearl.. They want you to do surgery, but in the same breath tell us that our yorkie probably would not get through the recovery process because his levels were low, they suggested that if we didn’t do surgery we should put him on steroids...Two days later I went for another opinion and that Dr. said we needed to get him off the steroids immediately, but you can’t just take them off, we had to gradually take him off, 4 days later he was gone, bleeding in his stomach th... read more

These people are the most insensitive bunch of crooks I have ever seen , bring in a poisoning patient and be made to wait over 2 hours before anyone would even see us meanwhile our poor boy was laying and soaking more and more poison into his system , then the money pressure starts , even though they knew our pet wasnt going to make it , they talked up his prognosis to us to make sure we stayed an extra couple days and another couple thousand dollars , after he inevitably passed , we got there and the front desk nurse just s... read more

Again, I would HIGHLY recommend Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware. Dr. Walsh is one of the Internists and is Louie's (26 year old cat) Vet. They JUST saved Louie, 26 years old. He just had gallbladder surgery for gallstones on Friday.(Dr. Roberts was surgeon, cancelled time off to do this intricate surgery) (Dr. Knox stayed late to do Ultrasound). They all SAVED Louie. The emergency vets who looked after him through the night, the FABULOUS nurses who kissed and hugged Louie when I wasn't there. And who answered my ca... read more

Worst experience ever. We brought our dog in to the Blaine location. Our dog had symptoms exactly the same some years back, took him to this location and had a great experience. This time, they talked us into a blood test for organs and it came back renal failure and she felt a mass in his stomach that was more like cancer; the dog should be euthanized then and there. He'd make it through the night, but not much beyond that. They said he was having kidney failure. We were in shock. Said no, we'll take him to our regular vet... read more

Our Boston Terrier, Rocky, just had surgery to remove foreign bodies from his stomach and intestine. I feel that his emergency Vet (Dr. McCarthy) showed excellent diagnostic skills and involved us in the treatment plan, making us feel that we were part of the team and a bit more in control of a very difficult situation. Rocky is doing well now, and we are looking forward to having him at 100% very soon. The staff was caring and considerate, and dealt with my nerves very professionally. We received high and low estimates for ... read more
