First, years ago, they successfully performed an operation in my dog's leg that was not in any way a guaranteed success. She never had a problem with it the last seven years of her life. Recently, while taking her to their clinic in an emergency, she passed away en route. They offered to keep her for a week until we decided what we wanted to do with her, gave us a clay relief of her paw print when we picked her up several days later, and sent us a sympathy card the following week. This place is the worst ever..if you dont wish death upon your animal. Do NOT bring them here. They paralyzed one of my bulldogs and a year later brought my other bulldog here for severe vomiting sleepiness. They complete miss diagnosis him, because I got smart waited until morning and got second opinion. They said if we didnt do the surgery he would die, for a blockage that wasnt even visible. This entire practice was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. The caring and compassion shown were second to none. Thank you to ALL the amazing staff, especially Dr. Yeh (an amazing surgeon) and Dr. Gregory (Excellent and quick diagnosis during our emergency visit) I hope we don't need further emergency visits, but if we do, this is were we will be bringing our dog, no question. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO ANY OF THESE LOCATIONS. Our puppy fractured his tibia. We rushed him here to be told well he may not need surgery so they put the poor guys leg in a cast that was $900 we come back in 2 days for a check up and now he needs surgery. They charge us $4000 and tell us we would be getting some money refunded back after the procedure. Of course this never happened nor did they give us any sedatives to calm him down. They care more about your money than your pet. After spending $4000 plus on our dog, they still were unable to give us an answer as to what was wrong with our dog. Terrible at returning phone calls and rude staff. I wouldn't recommend Blue Pearl to anyone.
Really Really bad waste of money.
One of the worst hospitals around. If you care anything about your beloved pet please do not take them here. All they care about is doing surgeries and charging high prices. I believe that our little Dallas is not with us anymore because of them
I took my lab, Rosie, to the emergency room at HOPE for treatment of an incision that had opened twice within 10 days. Rosie was admitted to HOPE for treatment of an open wound and infection. Dr. Kelly, from emergency, and Dr. Mehler, the surgeon, gave me an overview of Rosie’s condition and the treatment plan. Both of the doctors took time to answer my questions. Unfortunately this place has extremely poor communication on all ends. We asked the vet tech to please not do a fast scan after being placed back in a room & going over the issue with our dog at hand. Randomly while waiting for the vet to come, they came into our room & said, " The vet wants to see your dog for a quick rectal exam." And we asked, "is that it?" & she said yes.
