There is something special about this theatre, the caliber of people it employs, and the community it serves. I have never felt more at home as an artist than I have at Hope Summer Rep. There is a spirit of love and acceptance that permeates the atmosphere. The quality of the productions is equal to, and even better than, some Off-Broadway theatres in NYC. it is my belief that this theatre will continue to be a beacon of light in the Holland community, reminding everyone about the the best part of ourselves.
Progress is a hard thing. As is respect for your community and the values it holds dear. Hope Summer Repertory Theater has done a truly extraordinary job at maintaining a balance between the two. HSRT has become a theatre community that has inspired me to grow artistically, emotionally and spiritually. So thankful to have spent this summer in a place that I can truly call a home.
I’m happy to say I’ve been involved in the summer theatre for 3 years and been going to see shows for 5. The standard of productions has always been high and it’s been great to see the theatre company grow and branch out to the community more and more. I can’t speak highly enough about this theatre. The quality of shows HSRT consistently produce is beyond words. Theatre is diverse. It’s engaging, playful, artistic, emotional, and raw. Most importantly, theatre brings us together. And I can’t think of a better company that radiates this. Love is love is love is love... ❤️
I was very fortunate to be able to play a role this summer in The Odd Couple. Speaking as someone that has managed shows on Broadway as well as their National Tours, I can say without a doubt HSRT is one of the most professional, passionate and empowering companies I have ever worked for.
