I have been trying to get completely away from severe abuse for years. I have contacted your program multiple times. Hope and safety sends me to victims services, victims services sends me to hope and safety. both programs always have the same first words they share, "we can not offer legal advice" . no one has ever asked me if I was looking for legal advice, because I am not. This organization is a disgrace to the memory of Womenspace. They left me to deal with my abusive ex-husband by myself; after all, it doesn't count as abuse if he doesn't live with you! Save yourself some humiliation and don't waste your time there.

This place saved my life. The women who I met in the weekly support group helped me exit a toxic relationship and offered invaluable support and validation. It was nice to have a space to go when I didn't have much of a support network. THANK YOU!!!!!

I have mixed feelings about my experience here. On one hand, there is a gentleman on staff (the gay guy) who is incredibly cool, empathetic, and genuinely tries to be helpful. He makes you feel heard in a very stressful situation. However, the management/leadership side is extremely disappointing. I keep being denied assistance by the "boss" because I have received help in the past.
