We turned to Dr Uronis when we felt our local oncologist was not feeling our urgency and his cancer was being treated as a business. After almost a month with nothing done we saw Dr Uronis and she was amazing. She called us personally the next morning to forgo radiation and get right in for chemotherapy. My brother-in-law was diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer. The Novant oncologist told him he only has 3 to 6 months to live. Dr.Uronis and her whole medical team at the Duke Cancer Centre were kind and compassionate to him. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. She's the absolute best. Her communication skills are top-notch, even when trying to explain complicated things to an ordinary schmoe like me. She's smart and kind, and absolutely the kind of thoughtful and thorough doctor that you want in your corner when you're fighting such a horrible diagnosis as gastric cancer. She knows her stuff, and will guide you along the best course of action with skill and grace and good humor. Cannot recommend her enough.
