I used to use HOPE counciling center for a long time before the pandemic. I had a wonderful expierience and have reffered many people there over the years. This place has gone downhill. The last time I tried to use them I had to do three different intakes with three different therapists because all of them kept leaving the practice. I would have one or two sessions and then was told they had to pass me along to someone else, and they charged me every single time. I was referred to HOPE counseling through the Society for the blind after I was diagnosed legally blind from macular degeneration in both eyes. I have been struggling to adapt to progressive vision impairment, and especially since I am a senior citizen living alone it has become increasingly challenging and difficult as my eyesight continues to diminish. Truly terrible patient service. I was told I was waitlisted, then was called repeatedly at 1pm after leaving them messages and emailing them several times that because I work in a youth facility I can't have my phone. Regardless of how many times I tried to call them back or reach them, they gave my spot to someone else and never reached out again. I'll be working with a different group.
