this facility is just... horrendous, honestly. i transferred from another facility where i did majority of my detoxing, but i was still feeling sick when i got to HBTS. keep in mind that i was coming off methadone (it can take months to get out of your system. longest half life out of any opiate) but because of my insurance, i was technically never labeled as detox when i got there, meaning i couldn't see the "doctor" everyday. only once a week. i got there at 10:01 PM and the cutoff to see the doctor is 10. i had to wait ti... read more
Hope by the Sea is the worst rehab facility I've attended. I was sucked in by all the ridiculous talk of luxury and the beautiful Cook house. Lies, lies. The detox houses are rundown apartment buildings where 4 girls sleep in 2 bedrooms with 1 bath. The house managers are all in drug court or graduated only a few months ago. They are young and inexperienced. They leave the women sleeping in a house with no onsite supervision. If you are detoxing you need more care. It's very dangerous. I will start with the staff at the houses were very friendly ; only reason i gave them two stars. Now the reason i gave them only two stars is because I was given false information about my Fiance and I being at the same location. I specifically recall them asking if we were okay with being at two separate locations down the street from each other and told them no; upon arrival we were dropped off at two separate locations.
