I've been here are several times in the last 4 years. I only go here from desperate for Chinese food and don't want to go to Reading or Kutztown. Every year they raise the price by almost a dollar. Not to mention the food's not great anyway. The pork fried rice has only one piece of pork in it, no onions no vegetables etc. It's the worst fried rice I've had at any Chinese restaurant. As a long-time Yelper, I always try to give local spots the benefit of the doubt, but my experience with Hop Poh yesterday was completely unacceptable. I picked up two combination platters and a additional pineapple fried rice. When I got home and opened everything up, I realized one of the platters was missing the fried rice that was supposed to come with it. Broccoli tasted rotten, barely any chicken in the meal. Fried rice was bland. Soda was outdated by 3 months. Fortune cookie was like rubber.
Greatest Chinese food in northern berks anyone that tells you different doesn’t know chinese food.
