Terrific Apple Pie! – Was passing through Chicago. Had heard of the Hoosier Mama Pie Company. Had time, so decided to drop in off the CTA at 'Chicago' on the blue line on the way to the airport. Bought an apple and pear pie, which I froze when I got home. Ate the apple pie two days later. The reheated pie was delicious. Apple pie not baked – Finally made a trip to Hossier Momma. I bought the Smores pie and Apple. The Smores pie was very thick, rich, and full of chocolate flavor. The crust was exceptional too. The apple however, was disappointing. While spiced and flavored nicely, the apples were not baked all the way through. They were too crisp and undone. I'm not talking firm, I'm talking HARD.
