I had Lasik here a year ago, and while I'm pleased with the final outcome and overall glad I made the decision to have the procedure, there are some things I wish I had known in retrospect. One of which is the severity of pain on the day of surgery, after you are discharged. I wish they had told me to take a pain reliever proactively. They say, "go home and go to sleep" as if it's that simple. I cannot begin to explain how good the team at Hoopes Vision Draper have been to me and my spouse. We struggled with sightedness for many years, going between vision appointments, many glasses, hundreds of contacts, the works. I recently had cataract surgery here and the staff was so helpful and so kind. The procedure was so easy. I was completely at ease and not sure of results since still healing but right now I can drive without glasses at all and watch movies without glasses. That alone is a miracle!!!

Preliminary appointment for non-lasik surgery. Staff was 5+. Did not feel rushed and they were happy to answer my many questions. I’ll review again after surgery. Wish me luck! Post surgery report: All went well. Distance improved, clearer vision with less tinge. Greens are greener. Still need readers but that was expected. Anticipation of procedure was much more nerve wracking than actual procedure. Recovery required patience. All in all, great results a year out.

Dr. Buckner did my cataract surgery October and December of 2021. If I had it to do all over again, I would not have it done. I now suffer every hour of the day with major dry eye syndrome in both eyes and a huge dark floater in one eye that blocks my vision. It's miserable. I had neither of those issues before cataract surgery. UPDATE: The patient experience manager never contacted me.
