Surf coaching from Ivan is a must do. He makes sure you learn at your level and he will make sure you catch as many waves as possible. I've done lessons with him a few times over the last few years and I'm hooked. Some of my best surfing has been with him. I recommend the private lesson to improve your surfing at any level.

Had one private session with Ivan and it was amazing. When I surf at new places if possible I always try to find a local coach, to get familiar with the conditions/not get hurt, and to improve the skills. I’ve run into surf coaches in LA, places in Mexico and Asia, Ivan is my favorite. He pointed out some problems I hadn’t noticed before and helped me catch waves I would have missed. It was a blast. Next time in Oahu I’ll get the 10 session package!

I'm currently in the middle of a 10 session series with Ivan and it has been AMAZING! I was looking to find someone I could work with consistently to level up my surfing, and I can't believe how much I have already improved after just a few sessions. Ivan is a great coach and a super fun person to be around, and is so encouraging and helpful in the water. We had so much fun with Hook Up surfing! Both of our instructors are experienced and made us feel comfortable on the board always prioritizing our safety first. With the instructors guidance, my husband and I went from never having surfed in our lives to successfully riding so many waves! My husband and I were even able to ride a wave together, which was so special on our honey moon. Their warm and always positive approach to teaching made this an unforgivable memory.
