Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience from beginning to end. We waited about an hour just to be seated upstairs, and then another full hour before our food finally arrived. Staff kept saying the kitchen was “backed up,” but a 2-hour wait just to eat is completely unacceptable, especially for the prices they charge.When the food finally came, it was very mediocre and nowhere near worth the wait or the cost. Extremely disappointing and honestly disturbing experience with the steamed oysters we brought home after visiting Coney Island on Easter Sunday.As soon as we opened the takeout, a strong, putrid ammonia-like smell hit us immediately—not the fresh, briny scent you expect from seafood. From the minute, I stepped in there the hostess Lydia was amazing! She was very sweet & accommodating, she helped me find a place to put my walker. Help me find a seat where my son wouldn’t be bothered by the smells because he’s a cancer patient. She checked on us often to see if there’s anything we need. Our server John was amazing as well!
