Terrible experience. Dishonest and misleading. SCAM! Responded to an ad for a Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series and inspected the vehicle in person. On inspection, I found clear signs of major engine issues—thick milky residue under the oil cap, indicating possible coolant and oil mixing (a serious problem). Worst experience ever. When I first visited Hontoys Auto, everything looked professional and promising. I paid $2300 to have the CVT system replaced. They claimed the job was done, but the original issue persisted. Over the next two months, I had to visit their shop more than 15 times. Each time, I was told the mechanic was too busy or unavailable. No real effort was made to fix the issue — just excuses and delays. Expensive parts
Great experiences with Hontoys both in-person and online! Previously bought a spoiler back in 2023 and just purchased a gearbox off them through Facebook - great service, very responsive and very accommodating, they were nice enough to give free 1-2 day delivery. Would definitely come back!
bought the whole steering rack for inner and outer tie rod ends , as they didnt sell the tie rods only the steering rack was all rusted and bellow boots were cracked, bellow boot clamp was rusty and non reusable once unclamped to take the bellow boot out , absolutey disgusting experience dealing for a refund as the parts i wanted werent in good condition, wasted a lot of time as i was asked to put a bellow boot so they can refund me but at the end they didnt refund either , will not buy anything from here
