Jaymie was an absolute legend to deal with—super friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I got the right parts for my car. Terrible experience. Dishonest and misleading. SCAM! Responded to an ad for a Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series and inspected the vehicle in person. On inspection, I found clear signs of major engine issues—thick milky residue under the oil cap, indicating possible coolant and oil mixing (a serious problem). Worst experience ever. When I first visited Hontoys Auto, everything looked professional and promising. I paid $2300 to have the CVT system replaced. They claimed the job was done, but the original issue persisted. Over the next two months, I had to visit their shop more than 15 times. Each time, I was told the mechanic was too busy or unavailable. No real effort was made to fix the issue — just excuses and delays. Expensive parts
Great experiences with Hontoys both in-person and online! Previously bought a spoiler back in 2023 and just purchased a gearbox off them through Facebook - great service, very responsive and very accommodating, they were nice enough to give free 1-2 day delivery. Would definitely come back!
