Worst experience of my entire life. I called when I first found out at 4 weeks pregnant to make my appointment. First appointment was scheduled for the soonest available (I would have been 12 weeks). I was having bleeding and called to get in asap to have baby checked. Was told there was no availability any sooner (I was told to wait 10 days for my first appointment after the bleeding started) and that if I wanted to be checked I had to go to the ER. The staff have all been so kind and wonderful. Patty, the scheduler, is always so helpful and warm on the phone. Dr. Cortina is the most compassionate, kind, caring, intelligent, and intuitive Dr that I have ever had. I cannot recommend her enough. Her skills as a physician provided life saving care to my son, who, without her would not be with us today. I’m forever grateful to Dr. Cortina for saving the life of my child and I highly recommend her to anyone seeking prenatal care.
I knew I wanted to give birth at HonorHealth because I’ve had a couple of surgeries at the Shea Scottsdale location and had a great experience with the staff there. However, since this is my first pregnancy, I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of driving 35+ minutes, especially with traffic. I’m so glad I found the Sonoran Health location instead. Denying a 7 week old pregnant woman care because we found another office with an appointment sooner after she’s had 4 miscarriages in the last few years is disgusting. Patty, the office manager, and the doctors here all should be ashamed of themselves, I have all calls recorded and transcribed, this should be fun!
