Had a new patient physical scheduled and at that appointment they told me they couldn't do a routine physical and update prescription for BP and cholesterol in same appointment (which is how I've been doing it for a decade with last doctor). It was obvious very quickly that the business objective is to get patience back frequently so they could charge more, and not to provide convenient care to patients. I left before even seeing the doctor and suggest others do so as well.
More concerned with checking all the boxes for maximum pay than actually caring for patients. His medical assistant misrepresents Medicare requirements and does not listen.
I've been seeing Dr. Yuen around 1990 (when he took over for Dr. Hendler) through 2024 except for some years where i worked out of state for 8 years. I've enjoyed that he doesn't push big pharma on you. years ago, I went in for back pain and he gave me papers on exercises. Since he switched to "doctors of internal medicine", he's changed. There's more clicking on the laptop and less eye contact. Now he's quick to push big pharma on me. The dr was a nice man; however, i feel like i was misdiagnosed and mistreated by this clinic overall. Weeks of suffering and asking to be referred to a pulmonologist specialist for what i clearly feel as lung issues i was facing were simply rejected and then they only allow a referral to a different specialist, an ent, after I make it very clear multiple times that that is not what I need.
