look further With strip mall chinese, it is usually hit or miss. This one is a miss. After one visit, I had concerns about how sanitary the place is. The egg rolls were awful, and entrees were worse than usual. There are much better choices in the area.
Our favorite for 3+ years! When we want an excellent, fresh Chinese dinner, this is always where we go. The order takes a few minutes and that's because it's done while you're waiting. It's NOT left open to chance, such as a buffet, whether it's fresh. It is always good quality, and I can tell this establishment takes great pains to make sure everything is clean and sanitary. I used to order takeout from Hong Kong Star right up until the time I got deathly ill from food poisoning. At the time, I was 57 years old and had never, ever in all of my years of dining out had a case of food poisoning. I got ill within hours of eating fried rice which I now understand is a major proponent of food poisoning if not cooked properly. We order from here at least every other week. They're consistent, fast and delicious. I'm sorry some others had a bad experience. We've been loyal customers for over 10 years, and it's been one of our go-tos on a busy week night.
This place is terrible! How can a Chinese restaurant survive with bad fried rice. On top of that the lady owner is rude. Do not eat there.
On thursday, 2/20/14, I ordered from Hong Kong. It was my second time eating there. Three hours later, I was hugging my toilet throwing up everything I ate. I ordered shrimp lo mein with the spring rolls. I have now been suffering with food poisoning for three days. I missed work on friday and will probably miss work tomorrow. Dont eat here!!!! Save yourself and your family the teouble of getting sick. I got food poisoning and so did my boyfriend.
