Choice Home Warranty sent this company out when I submitted a claim for a pipe leaking in the ceiling of the main floor right by a toilet upstairs. The first time they came, they didn't investigate the hole at all, just snapped a picture, flushed the toilet and left after charging me $75 plus a credit card fee of ~$3. Having a leak in your home is incredibly frustrating, but it’s even more unacceptable when a company fails to use due diligence to properly diagnose and fix the issue. A simple repair to a spigot could have saved me a great deal of time and frustration. As a Choice Home Warranty policy holder, we have the right to remove contractors from our preferred list, and it’s time we start holding accountable those who show up, collect the service fee, but show little interest in actually resolving the problem.
