***Updated Review: I was able to get back in contact with Abe after several months of trying to reach him. We had a very heartfelt conversation. He explained he was going through some personal issues and he apologized for not responding or returning my calls. I encouraged him to just be honest with his customers next time. Dudes a burn took over 4000 Dollars from me and left me with an half installed engine...smfh...oh well u live and u learn...
My husband contacted Honest Abe's to get overall maintenance service on our boat. Our initial contact and boat repair was successful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Employee came to our home and did oil change and service on our boat. We were then told we need a new power steering hose. So we ordered the part and it would come a week later. We paid $600 for the service and was told we would owe $220 more after he put in the power steering hose. Fast forward a few weeks. We now have the power steering hose. We call, email, ... read more
The initial contact and service offered was very good. He responded quickly, did the work well, took follow-up phone call and service just as quick and easy. Several weeks went by, had an issue with some of his work, have been reaching out over the last month or so and I have been ghosted, so I don't recommend this guy to do any work for you.
We used him for our boat troubles and at first he said he knew what the issue was and then still couldn’t get it work. He apologized and we understood and he came to fix it again for a different issue he said would resolve the problem. He left my house without saying anything and said to call him when we were home? He said he fixed it and then messed it up and would need us to take it to his shop.
