In Aug. of 2022 I purchased a CERTIFIED 2020 Honda Pilot. By Nov 2022 my computer started "rebooting" randomly. I would lose my infotainment screen and radio/phone system while driving the car. Dec. 27th took in to have fixed, was told it was from battery. A $274 new battery installed, Issue persisted. 2/9/23 system went out completely. I found a vehicle on the lot, which was marked up for market adjustment. I was willing to pay it because its the car I wanted. The car was relayed to me as available. I told **** I wanted the vehicle and wanted to put a deposit down to ensure it was mine. I then went through getting my loan documents ready because I was preapproved. I asked no less than 6 times to put a deposit on the vehicle to ensure it was mine. BUYER BE AWARE! And read some of the reviews below. Seems odd that there are more than one instance of bait and switch, or deception, or whatever word you'd like to use. For a couple of weeks I have communicated with a internet sales person, while coming to a decision about a car. It came down to (3) identical cars with the same trim package. had the worst experience today. As I was communicating via email about possibly leasing a Honda Civic, I had instructed the customer service representative that I had to file for bankruptcy in 2019 (which was discharged) due to a financial hardship from a divorce that was finalized in 2018. I specifically said that I had that bankruptcy because I didn’t want them to run my credit and cause me to have knock on my credit report if they were not able to help. On 12/26/2020, I ran over a large piece of tire tread on I-80 in my Honda Pilot resulting in a loud noise whenever my car was in motion. To address this issue, I scheduled an appointment with the Honda Superstore of Joliet on 12/28/2020. I was told by Dennis Finley (one of their service advisor’s) that they temporarily fixed the problem, but I needed to bring my car back in to have the support bracket and driveshaft replaced because it was damaged. I came into the dealership looking to trade in my already paid off car and to BUY a new car which I said at least three times throughout viewing cars. My salesman sold me into a leased car and when I talked to the financial consultant he went over maintenance plans and did not use the word "leased" in explaining anything. this dealership and I agreed to a final buying price. When it came time for the paperwork. They switch the numbers we discussed. The old bait and switch. Also know as theft by deception. They not only changed the numbers they increased it by 4,000 dollars. How do these people go home and sleep at night when they are ripping people off?? Avoid these crooks and this dealership. Im in the process of filing a class action lawsuit. God knows they have dont this to hundreds of people.
