Poor insulation in the walls, can hear doors closing from 100 ft away. Dog friendly means you can hear 20lb spoiled rats barking randomly while trying to enjoy your peace and quiet. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay, look elsewhere.
I booked a room at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Destin for a getaway with my wife, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, providing plenty of space to stretch out. Surprisingly, it was also quiet, even during Spring Break. The front desk staff was friendly, and I didn’t encounter any issues during our visit.
