We regularly stay over in Ely when we drive US50, and always grab a Hometown pizza for the room. Great pizza that's consistent and convenient.
Feel sorry for the people who live in Ely, NV. this is their only pizza shop. We waited over an hour to get 2 pizzas and wings. It took over 29 minutes just to be waited on because the cashier ignored all the people waiting in line to take phone orders. We had ordered boneless wings but when we went to check on it order the 2nd time we found it they made bone in. They asked if we wanted to wait but after an hour we said we would just take them. The 12” Miner’s Special, hit the spot for two people. The table side service was appreciated.
The staff were super kind and welcoming. We did the all-you-can-eat pizza with the salad bar. The garlic bread was great, and they also had this churro-style dessert bread that was a nice surprise. Kamal was especially nice and really took care of us. They were short-staffed that day, but you honestly wouldn’t have known from the service, everyone was working hard and still making sure people were looked after. Great value, lots of food, really friendly people. Would definitely recommend.
