I have rented HomeTown Mobility scooters at the Texas State fair for the past 4 years due to back issues (prior to surgery). I always reserve online as a guarantee that one will be available, instead of walk-up when I get there. My Mother was hospitalized the night before she had reserved a scooter for the MN State Fair. Despite this circumstance they would not issue a refund. An elderly woman with cancer on a very limited budget cannot afford to lose $75. Nobody at the fair or at the office of Hometown Mobility would even speak to me about it. 48 hour cancelation policy regardless of whether the person is injured, ill or dead I guess. DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE AHEAD OF TIME!! Just go to the fair and rent the scooter. Should someone in your family get Covid or become ill you will not get any type of refund unless its 48hrs. No medical exceptions. Do not plan ahead for these scooters. They have tons of them and I doubt you actually need a reservation. Hope this helps someone from losing out on a motorized vehicle they will just rent to someone else.
