Wanted to rent a one bedroom in Waterloo Ontario (Metropolitan Towers). I sent my pay stubs and all the needed documents. They also made me pay the deposit in advance before even checking my application. I have a good credit score and on time rent payment history with no issues. After one week of keeping my money they told me I needed a guarantor to rent! I could not believe this as I have rented for 11 years and had no problem! Guess it is just a new scamming technique to keep people's money for a while!
