Seems like a good piece of gear, but you didn't touch on cost of operating. It is extraordinary. And YES.... its not for novices. Middle of April I purchased HT-PI-G3 because it was not cloud based. Great software support service from HomeSeer! Software updates often go wrong on any digital device, from computers to phones to smart devices. An update to HS4 on my Zee S2 hub went wrong and I could no longer communicate with it. I could have lost years of valuable configuration data for my Z-Wave devices and events. I posted my SD card to HomeSeer. They fixed the faulty upgrade and returned the card to me. They even logged on remotely after I reinstalled it in order to finish the upgrade.
