HEA provides power to the large area encompassing my neighborhood on South KBeach. They keep the trees pruned to keep them from falling onto the power lines and causing power outages when there are frequent high winds. On the rare occasions when heavy snow and ice do cause homes to loose power, they send their employees to the area and power is returned as soon as possible. Hard to call it customer service. Waited on a hold for about 10 minutes, and the lady was exceptionally rude and snappy and served me about three incredibly flip comments. They are lucky that they are the only option
3rd time over lost power in the past 30 days. Unacceptable to say the least.
My power has gone out 5 to 10 times every year for years. Everything has been because of a tree falling on wires in a neighborhood that I'm adjacent to. HEA states that it is the property owners responsibility to take down trees near wires. But I'm affected of they don't do that. I don't understand why they don't just charge a fee and take then down themselves. It would save so many customers the hassle of going without power and it would save HEA probably thousands of dollars when they don't have to send technicians out to ... read more
