This plant has its pros and cons. It is tons more efficient than the renewable sources like solar and wind, which are terrible sources of energy due to lack of efficiency and development. And it Provides energy for multiple states around the US north eastern states. Although it does pollute the area around it, which is unfortunate. It only runs on 20-25% of its capacity it is capable of. But natural gas is cleaner, more efficient and more abundant. Making natural gas hard to compete with.

I’m very honored to have lived near this plant for the majority of my life. Thank you for the many years of service that you have given us and continue to give us. I am very grateful for the job opportunities that this plant as well as its other local plants have given western Pennsylvania’s families.

Very good place to work and ty for the years of employment. Slowly the trades are losing their work. The plant closing will make alot of mungaloids happy im sure.
