First and foremost....This Home2 Sweets is immaculate. From the moment one walks in the hotel...the first thing, like always in every Home2 Suites...the lobby is beautiful, clean, and the smell is WONDERFUL! I figured out why they call the Home2....(like a 2nd home), because of the fantastic way they maintain the cleanliness is like my home. The staff is so kind, and helpful. Staff was amazing. Rooms big and beautiful, clean, bright. Grounds are nice. Location is convenient. Just a few issues - If you have a dog there is no area that is exclusively for them going to the bathroom. You have to just take them to the medians between the buildings. The water pressure is very low. I had mouth surgery and could only eat oatmeal (I know it's not their problem ) but they don't seem to know how to make it. It was water with a small amount of oats. Usually stay in the other Hilton when in McAllen but it was booked so tried Home2Suites. What the hotel may lack, it makes up for in service (the staff) who were exceptional. We checked in & I asked if we could have a room on a higher floor because I could smell a bit of damp as we went into the lobby. They said they were booked up so we went to the ground floor room which honestly wasn't good. The smell was very strong. I went back & explained & they went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a perfect stay. The rooms are very quiet, spacious, and clean. Parking is easy, location is great. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable.
