Horrible. Came for a wedding and was put in a room where the front desk staff had to manually come unlock our door because the key card would de-activate EVERY single time. Got locked out of our room one night for hours the night before the wedding into the early morning. I was MOH and had to be up in a few hours. Somehow, our bolt on our door locked from inside, locking us out. Was told by the front desk girl we would get a refund for one night if not both due to the inconvenience. Which we never received. EDIT: bumping down my review another star because when Hilton got a hold of my now husband, all they did was try to sell him on another trip for $190 to Orlando, which would be fully “refundable” after sitting through a timeshare presentation. They promised to bump up the room to a nicer one once he mentioned this issue. Seems like they truly do not care if you’re a Hilton Honors member, or just a person looking to get what you paid for. Very mediocre experience at this hotel in my honest opinion. I’m pretty much a Hilton group loyalist and travel a good bit for work, and this stay was not up to standard. Arrived an hour before check in and our room was not ready for early check in, understandable during a busy hotel weekend in Des Moines but a bit disappointing nonetheless. Our room was clean enough, and the AC was cold, but the bathroom was a bit of a disaster. The toilet paper holder was busted, as was the bathroom faucet. In the morning, we discovered th... read more
