I scheduled a pellet stove inspection through chimneysweepacton.us. When I called I was quoted "inspections have a $349 nonrefundable deposit that counts towards the total". When the technicians showed up they determined that the only issue was the pellet stove needed to be cleaned. When they finished I was given an invoice charging me $299 for a cleaning and $349 for an inspection. Poor services. Cancelled 1st appointment 3 hours after appointment tome. rescheduled for the following week. Did a horrible job. They charged a depot for a chimney topper, but never put one on my chimney. I have called back multiple times for the $95 credit. But they keep telling me a manager will call back. 1 person hing up because I insisted on speaking to someone. WARNING. DO NOT DO BuSINess with them.
Inspected and put a cap on my chimney. Can’t say the cap was artfully done. Left masonry on my property, and never picked it up. Despite saying it would happen…twice. Also, when I did get around to using the fireplace, a chimney fire ensued.. when I told the fire department I had had it inspected and cleaned, just a couple of months prior, they were stunned. It didn’t seem to them anything had been done. I narrowly averted a disaster. Extremely disappointing.
Joe did an excellent job, and was a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and work ethic was exactly what we were looking for in a general contractor. Joe takes the care and time to do things right, as if he was working on his own home. We are the type of homeowners who like to be included in the entire process, Joe was patient with us, and included us in each decision along the way.
