So far not so good. I have tried to make a mortgage payment for 2 weeks now. Calling is the worst since they drop your call and then they don't get back with you through emails and online. This is my second time using VA and this has been the biggest hassle dealing with them when it comes to making a payment. I feel like my home is not a home with them as a lender. Update: things are a lot better and I had issues at the start but I would recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We made our mortgage payment on time and they marked it late and reported it to the credit bureaus! My credit went down 100 points and they have done nothing about it!!!!
Everything was fine, good even, until it came to paying out the escrow over payment. No many how many checks the (claim to) send, I have yet to get my money back. Money that I paid them throughout the year.
I am a first time home buyer and the process can get a little confusing. Ami Desai Was my agent from Home Point Financial. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Not only was she able to get me a considerable lower interest rate than the competitors but she walked me through the whole process and guided me on the right questions I should be asking. She went above and beyond what she is required to do and highly recommend her to anyone considering buying a home.
