Excellent investment Unless you are in the construction trades, this service is a great way to quickly get reliable, guaranteed home contractors. We've used them for gutter cleaning, plumbing, fences, carpentry, garage door, windows, and a new roof.
I recommend the Home Owners Club After more than 10 years of hit-and-miss hiring of contractors, I became a member of the Home Owners Club. I couldn??t be happier. It??s a contractor referral service (one of the oldest in the country, according to their Web site).
Thankfully we have not needed them... But we are glad that we belong just in case. The idea is like AAA, you sign up to be part of their network of Handymen, contractors, plumbers etc, and when something goes wrong, they act as your agent. We liked the fact that everyone has been pre-screened and they will act as mediators if anything goes wrong. for $50 a year, it is cheap insurance that we do not get taken for a ride. They also have a nifty newletter that is sent out 6 times a year.
