Home Lumber has been a labor of love for the Korte family. The business was originally founded in 1957 as Harlan Lumber by A.D. Delagrange. The company moved from Harlan to New Haven in the early 1960s and became Home Lumber of New Haven Inc. In 1962, John A. Korte became the managing partner, joining Carl Lung and silent owners A.D. Sean was excellent, timely in arrival, and reviewed my questions after completion of the job. Due to another company's prior error in garage door opener installation, Sean had extra unexpected work to complete. This had to place a pinch in his future scheduled appointments that day, but he took it in stride and did not show signs of irritation from the unknown factors. Very professional in demeanor.
Just ordered two new garage doors from Home Lumber and had them installed. They look great!! The two installers who came to our house did a wonderful job. Home Lumber was easy to work with and we feel like we got a quality product and quality customer service which is sometimes hard to get these days. We would recommend Home Lumber to anyone doing a home improvement project.
