Home Lumber has been a labor of love for the Korte family. The business was originally founded in 1957 as Harlan Lumber by A.D. Delagrange. The company moved from Harlan to New Haven in the early 1960s and became Home Lumber of New Haven Inc. In 1962, John A. Korte became the managing partner, joining Carl Lung and silent owners A.D. Delagrange and Delbert Delagrange. Over time, A.D. and Carl sold their interests. Home Lumber of New Haven, Inc. recently came out to help us with two separate issues. Both gentlemen were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the visit. While some follow-up is still needed, I truly appreciated their time, attention, and willingness to assist. Looking forward to working with them again!

I called Home Lumber about a window I was having a problem with. They scheduled my repair within a couple of days. Two extremely polite, efficient, & knowledgeable young men arrived at the scheduled time & solved the problem. I also received a call to let me know that they were heading my way & when they would arrived. I highly recommend Home Lumber in New Haven.
I can't say enough about Erik S! He came during the given time frame and called ahead as to when he would arrive. He explained everything he needed to do clearly and there were no surprises. The job was done faster than the estimated time frame given and he was kind, thoughtful, and cleaned up after himself. You want Erik for your garage door/garage system needs!
