With new insulation in my dad's house combined with a new gas furnace, during the cold spells, we turn the thermostat to only 68 degrees in cold weather. 72 degrees - the old normal is like overdoing it. The insulation has helped to stop some long time drafts. Another contractor suggested 12 times the price with insulation everywhere - light switches, etc - I think overdoing it.
