Hi. In Fall 2025, my mother in law took a big senior step down meaning that, despite multiple weekly visits by her daughters and son in law, she suddenly wanted someone with her 24/7. Home Instead was the answer to the care we needed for our elderly mother who wanted to age in place. Everyone in the organization has been wonderful to our mother and also to us. All questions are answered promptly and any changes we need to make to the caregiver schedule are agreed upon as much as possible. Mom’s caregiver, Kristin, is wonderful and mom loves her dearly. Home Instead has been amazing to work with. Our parents had the wish to retire in Maine, away from family, but a place they loved. In 2019 our mom, with advanced Parkinson’s, started needing some in-home assistance and after reaching out to several groups, our in person meeting with Cheryl and Kathy convinced us that Home Instead was our best option. Our family was so grateful to have caregivers from Home Instead provide in-home care for my mother. They were friendly, efficient, and willing to really listen to Mom's needs. The administrative staff also was prompt and clear with communication between all family members. We highly recommend them!
