Our founders, Paul and Lori Hogan, launched Home Instead in 1994 to provide care to Paul’s 90-year-old grandmother. Remarkably, after she began receiving personalized, in-home care that allowed her to age safely in the place she loved most – the family home – Grandma Manhart thrived for an additional decade! My Father inlaw utilizes this service. Two of the caregivers began asking to buy his cars and 4 wheelers for much less than market value. One of the workers went so far as to take his suv and was going to drive it across the country. The employer told her to return the suv, and she also had the title to his truck (she must have thought it was the title to the suv). The employee was fired.
