We were referred to Home Instead to help with my mother who has memory issues and takes walks without being able to always get herself back home. We had been using a tracker around her neck with her keys which was great so we could go out and bring her back when she got lost, however, I was required to track her all day, everyday. Home Instead was very helpful, well-organized, and excellent with scheduling. Sushila performed exceptionally well—she was kind, dedicated, and compassionate. I was truly grateful for her care and the great support and performance she provided.
My daughter found and contacted Home Instead for me as I live alone and my daughter lives several 100 kilometres away with her family. With my health and circumstances I am in a difficult situation and Home Instead was and is there for me to count on. Lindsey, the coordinator did everything possible to accommodate me even on short notice. Sushila and Laurie were amazing, warm hearted and kind, compassionate. Home Instead is a wonderful service available for elderly family members who want to stay in their home longer. I contacted Home Instead upon the release of Moms hospital stay. The team has been absolutely wonderful taking care of all her needs. Home Instead has been very accommodating with days and times needed. The team of care providers have become like family to Mom. I am so happy with the positive impact they have had on her life.
This is in recognition of 2 lovely ladys. Ola and Maryann. They look after my Dad during the day so I can work. He has dementia, altimeters and cancer. Before I was introduced to Home instead I had delt with PSW company's. This was a horrible 2 year ordeal. Always new faces ( when they would show up ) constant calls from there company's asking if they were there? Absolutely 65% terrible.
