Home helpers has been caring for my mother for over a year now. I stumbled across the reviews as I was trying to call into the office to request additional service for my mother. One review stuck out to me. One name stuck out to me. A previous caregiver that had taken care of my mother wrote a bad review. I believe that the things this company shares on their website and what truly goes on is not accurate. They claim their employees are trained...they are not. They also say there are opportunities to have further education and that is also not true. They dont pay their workers what their worth having to learn on the fly about emptying catheter bags correctly, hospice care etc. 9 bucks an hour y'all and I have talked to MANY employees and they agree they have never had a raise. My mom is 79 years old and has Parkinson's. She lives on her own and has daily challenges. We have a home health care ide come in a couple times per week. She does some basic house cleaning, laundry and helps prepare meals for mom. We are very happy with how she helps mom. She does an amazing job. I love the fact that when I am at work she takes mom to do her banking, grocery shopping and takes her to some Dr. appointments. I love that they offer in home care for new parents. The just make life easier all around when you just need that little extra help. The staff is top notch too!
