I was reluctant to hire a home care agency for my wife because we both are very private persons and the idea of a stranger in our house was very uncomfortable. After the stroke, my mother returned home, but she was unable to take care of herself, therefore we required a caretaker. The caregiver from the agency we hired quit after two days of work because she had a long travel in the morning, as if my mother's residence were a surprise.
