We were here for a Mountain Bike race. The rooms were clean and just as described. Easy check in with our own code. Location was amazing for the mountain bike trails. Bike wash station and bike racks were great. Room for a few bikes in the room to keep them secure at night, although many left them out on the racks. Beautiful location, cute rooms with space for a family of 4. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review is that the rooms stayed damp for a long time post-showering, and it would be really nice to have a communal grill or cooking area in the common space. Because there are no heat plates in the rooms, it makes cooking difficult, and I think that people would appreciate a communal cooking area or outdoor kitchen area to prepare items that cannot be microwaved or prepared with hot water alone.

Clean, convenient, and unique. It is apparent right away that this place is purpose built to maximize the enjoyment of all the wonderful outdoor activities that are available in this area. All your gear can be easily managed and stored inside the unit. There are multiple places outside to relax around a fire pit or screened communal area. No need to pack up the vehicle everyday for an adventure, the hub and connected bike trails are right outside your door. This is the second time I’ve stayed at Hime Base. The owners are very friendly. The property so peaceful and has great ambience. The rooms are clean, smartly built, and have the amenities to make you comfortable, but not too comfortable that you forget why you’re there. And location is great! Bike (or ski) in and out to the Trek Mr. Telemark trails, minutes from local shops, grocery, gas and restaurants, 30 minutes from Hayward, multiple bike shops and CAMBA trails so close.

This is a great basic room and space. It was well thought out and is as described. The only complaint would be the AC doesn’t reach the sleeping area well, a ceiling fan would have been nice for sleeping. The shower was large and clean.
