Entered into a contract with 1st Choice Contracting and Home and Pool Pros on 8-12-22. Deposit and 3 large payments/draws were made to this company. The only work completed on the pool is the Gunite Shell and the plumbing. No further work has been performed and they no longer answer their phones. When you try to leave a message it states Mailbox full. We were told the owners Nicholas Meyer and Jason Foster were parting ways and this was confirmed by Jason Foster in a text. Do NOT do business with Home & Pool. Home and Pool Pros took a deposit for a new pool and tried sloppily to apply for a permit. The permit process began on 5/2022. Never got through the permitting process nearly a year later. Nick is notoriously difficult to get a hold of to the point of malfeasance. Never answers phone calls (VM has been full for over a year) or returns emails.
IF YOU ARE UNDER CONTRACT WITH THEM WALK AWAY NOW AND SAVE YOUR MONEY! Nick Meyer ran this company into the ground. My pool build started off well while working with Jason Foster. Jason has since left the company and Nick Meyer claims to be in charge. Nick allowed my permit to expire and left me hanging. Last four subcontractors were not paid even though he told me they were through text message a month prior ($25k total for unpaid subs).
