My mother-in-law has dementia and lives in a retirement home. Six weeks ago she developed a mass on her lymph nodes and began have migraines. Doctor's ordered a CT scan and learned she had multiple cancerous tumors. She became palliative and the LHIN became involved offering services such as a "Palliative Care Team" and a night nurse to stay with her. my grandmother suffers from dementia, and has extremely high blood pressure and other heart conditions. while she has been hospitilized the LHIN has sent her home multiple times (despite doctors saying she should not be). they promised to send people but the people they send cannot do anything because my grandma has dementia, and doesnt trust them.
