they built us a sunroom addition and it came out really nice. the room feels solid, no drafts, and the flooring lines up with the rest of the house. took a little longer than i thought but the framing and finish work is clean. we use that room every single day now which says a lot
We added a bedroom and bath off the rear of the house and the finished space blends in like it was always part of the floor plan. The roofline matches and the new room gets great light. When I was comparing contractors in Skokie they were the only ones who really listened to what we wanted the addition to feel like.
skokieland built a master suite addition off the back of our house. about 380 square feet, bedroom plus a small ensuite bathroom. foundation work was the part i was most nervous about, they had to tie into the existing structure and match the floor height. came out within an eighth of an inch, you can barely feel the transition walking through. framing matched the existing roofline, you can stand in the yard and not tell where the original house ends. exterior siding and trim is a near perfect match, took them a while to sou... read more
House got too small and selling wasn't in the cards. After looking at a few builders that work in Skokie, we went with Skokieland for a bedroom addition. The new room ties into the rest of the house without feeling tacked on.
