I went to him for a surgery consultation and he was upfront with me. I felt like he genuinely cared. He Rec. me to another GI doctor but he said if I need anything to call. Which I have, the receptionist and him have always been helpful and quick to communicate. Which is awesome because I’ve never had that with a doctor before. Best people I’ve dealt with in my medical journey.
Dr Akbari and the resident that's shadowing him are both awesome. Super personable and easy to talk to. Makes what can be a pretty embarrassing experience easy and comfortable. Their office staff and nurse were also great. And if you've been around a while, they work through Southside which used to have a reputation in the area. But since Bon Secours took over, it seems to have become a great place. Myself and my grandfather have gone there and everyone has been absolutely awesome. Much thanks to all of them.
