Doing business with HomExcel, Inc. began with Herb offering a quote with Simonton products that World of Windows' manager said that he couldn't match in quality or price. During the pandemic of 2020, Herb kept me apprised of my order and Simonton's extraordinary circumstances which lead to delays in delivery outside of its internal control. I was cleaning out an old file & decided to see if this company was still in business. Was sad to see some negative reviews. We had our whole house windows (4 bedroom, 3 B tri-level house) Installed in 2001 in 2 or 3 stages. Everyone was great, professional, timely & couldn't be happier. When we sold the house years later we were able to transfer the warranty for $50? I think a great company
I highly recommend this friendly, efficient and professional company. From the sales person (Herb, President of Sales) to the office staff (Jackie, the office manager) to the installers, I could not be more pleased. Had Simonton Storm Breaker Plus double-hung windows installed and they are beautiful.
Installed Windows in two of my home's and did a great job. If there was any little manufacturing defect, they came right out to remedy the problem.
Don’t use this company! They do not back or service their products after installation. Window problems and broken patio screen replacement continues. Slick salesman Herb, uses every excuse in the book to avoid doing the right thing and backing their product.
We had new windows installed on 6-1-2017. One screen was received as damaged. Hom-Excel technician told us they would order a replacement screen and they should have it within a month. It is now more than 7 months and it still has not been installed. I have called more than once a month concerning this and I have heard every possible excuse they could make. Not a single man in company. From installer to sales to receptionist to operation manager owner. No body keeps the word. Will call 100 times with sweetened tone ever for payment. Once payment is done neither tone will be same or keep their word. I can write 2 page full but trust me it wont make any difference to them.
We found that Hom-Excel does not stand behind their work. A window needed service right after we bought our home. We were told there was no warranty because we were not the original purchaser. The person we bought the home from had paid Hom-Excel $6000 for this window just a few years prior. She was assured by the company that there was a lifetime warranty fully transferable to any subsequent owners. This company cares nothing after the sale is made.

I do not know what the situation was, but there are circumstances where the manufacturer does not carry a certain product any longer, and there might not be anything we are able to do for the customer, except help them out with pricing on a new product if needed. Hom-Excel does not stand behind their work. We bought a home which recently had new windows installed by this company. One window needed repair and we called for service. We were told there was no warranty because we were not the original purchaser. So much for goodwill and customer service! There are many window companies out there. Avoid Hom-Excel.
