Holz is fabulous. He painted my new cabinet shaker doors, custom matching the yellow from my image samples. It's truly refreshing to find an artisan of his caliber. I'm in the first phase of my kitchen refresh and my heart can't stop smiling. Thank you for making this a happy yellow. A piece of Italy in Taos.
Amalesh has completed several projects at my home. He is a highly skilled and experienced cabinetmaker and woodworker with a careful and thoughtful approach. He is a pleasure to work with. Not only is his workmanship flawless, but he is great at explaining techniques and materials. I have come to trust his guidance on everything from designing larger projects to finding the best solutions for tricky restoration and maintenance issues.
Work and craftsmanshift fails the test of time. Limited vision, attempts to maximize his profit, and overlooks the fine details that separate the master craftsman from the apprentice. Lacks accountability and integrity. Not a craftsperson that I feel comfortable recommending. This review was not left by mistake. You are featuring several photos of work you did in my home. If you’d like I can post photos of your work that clearly exhibit your lack of craftsmanship.
Amalesh helped us with a kitchen retrofit - moving some cabinets around and building new ones to match our existing cabinets in order to turn our island into eat-in dining and trim out a "appliance garage" and a built in microwave. He is top notch - first, just a great guy, and second, the work is absolutely perfect at a fair price (which is more than you can say about many in Santa Fe). I cannot recommend him highly enough!
