I saw Dr Ruberu because I was experiencing symptoms and was referred for an ultrasound, which showed an ovarian cyst. When I tried to schedule a follow-up with the doctor to discuss the results, I was told she had no availability for over two months. Instead, the office insisted I see a nurse practitioner, telling me she was “the same thing” because she had been trained by the doctor. Consultation is $275 regardless. Response: Specifically asking the Catholic doctor to accommodate a high risk patient (who cares about the vulnerable) by wearing a mask during a patient exam seems like it shouldn't have been a big deal. It's something Dr. Ruberu did regularly in hospital settings when she did deliver babies. Response was "no."
