DO NOT USE!!!! The hospital has many caring people. NONE of them work in the ER. I’ve been here a few times over the years including today - the nurses act like we are putting them out. Dad had surgery that morning and the doctor said if there was pain go to the er tonight. We showed up in extreme pain and the nurse said ‘there’s nothing we can do about the pain.’ She actually said ‘women understand pain better than men’ to my 90 year old father. Had to go to the Emergency room recently and had a great experience. My nurse Erin was great, knowledgeable and very kind. The paramedic Juan was also great and got my veins on the first try, which is unheard of !! I’m scared of needles!! The superviser Donna also came by and I shared my praise with her. What a great time in an unfortunate situation. I will go back to the new Emergency Room in Deerfield beach, it is clean, sterile, and beautiful inside and out
If you have to go to the Holy Cross ER, make sure you go during the day shift, because the team is professional, polite, and kind. Truly an excellent experience. Once the night shift clocked in, we felt neglected and treated with rudeness and arrogance. Moral of the story: try to show up early. 5 stars for the day shift! ZERO stars for the night shift. Hiring team: TAKE NOTE!
