My husband passes away and my electricity was cut off because they changed their auto pay system and was emailing him to call and set auto up again. Obviously I could not get his emails. They charged me ***to turn my electricity back on and told me that I have to come in person and bring a death certificate and two forms of id or they would cut my electricity off and they would not turn it back on. The reconnection of ****** was waived due to the delayed customer enrollment for autopay due to a recent software conversion. In addition, the penalty was waived due to the same reason.
