I go here often for tool rentals. These guys are knowledgeable, organized and they're on point. They know their stuff, and they they always seem to have what I need. The hardware store... I'm not in there as often. I mean, it's a hardware store. You're not gonna get everything you need like at a Lowe's or lumber supply, but it is well maintained. Tried to return a $8 item (a toilet flange) that I bought 1 week ago and they wouldn’t return it simply because I didn’t have my receipt. No Store credit either. Poor experience. I would have returned it using the card I used to purchase it. I like the convenience and selection is good but poor return policy.
Come here only when desparate. Otherwise, you'll get better service at.one of the big stores over them (but if you want exceptional service, head to Stanley's). More than once the staff haven't been terribly helpful. What's more is one night we came in for a snowblower. They said they'd come back while.we discussed. Snowblower repair before a huge snow storm, no problem. Holods offers pick up and delivery of machine, along with prompt service, and fair pricing. Grateful to have them in the neighborhood!
They were price gauging today with this snow storm coming 42$ for a bag of ice melt/ rock salt... Them bags are 25$ any other time. The staff was rude also
