Dr Matt in the ED is pretty mean and dismissive. If he woke up with a heart rate of 155 and chest pains, I’m pretty sure he would get that looked at too. I’m sorry you’re understaffed, but you can’t take it out on the patients, even if you feel it wasn’t an emergency (which most doctors would disagree with you given the presenting vitals) The rest of the nurses and staff were really lovely. Amazing Staff and service, when I was the sickest I can ever remember being. Very patient focused and the quickest wait I've had at any emergency department. People will complain about the initial Administration/Service fee, but folks, you get what you pay for, and this system was a well oiled machine from my assessment and experience with a lot of Perth hospitals! Well done Hollywood! 👏 🏥 ✔️

I was yesterday for 7 hours in the emergency area of the hospital with acute pain & swelling on my left knee, I arrived at 9am prepared to wait to be accessed by a doctor to give me some answers/instructions. I had to discharge myself at 4:30pm without any answers, doctors' instructions or even tests results. For some reason the CT Scan requested in the morning was not done until 3pm and only after I alerted one of the nurses. I found the staff to be friendly and efficient. I had to wait as the ER works on a triage system but it wasn’t long. once I was sent to the radiology the X-ray and CT scan were done in no time. The nurses were very friendly and found me something to eat once the doctor cleared it. I would have liked to be offered to see the results or provided details to access them. The after care was a little vague from the doctor. On the whole it was a positive experience and I would go there again over the public system.
