Left me waiting in agony for three hours finally got out of the waiting room and was told to wait again. Gave up and went home at about 2am. Luckily I survived. Below 3rd world standards.Disgraceful.
I’m currently sitting in Hollywood Private ED trying to emotionally process what just happened, because I’ve been here for almost an hour and somehow I’ve already been triaged, paid, seen a doctor, and had X-rays. Not busy one doctor on duty extremely slow service, Not seen in over 2 hours wouldn't recommend for the price paid
Have been here on three separate occasions, twice for myself and once for my partner. Got turned away at triage and said this ED is not equipped for abdominal/pelvic pain or back pain or anything that could be considered potentially urgent. Was also told that they don’t anyways have doctors on staff. I work in the healthcare industry and this is a bizarre concept to me I could get more treatment at an urgent care clinic than here. This is not an ED.
Dr Matt in the ED is pretty mean and dismissive. If he woke up with a heart rate of 155 and chest pains, I’m pretty sure he would get that looked at too. I’m sorry you’re understaffed, but you can’t take it out on the patients, even if you feel it wasn’t an emergency (which most doctors would disagree with you given the presenting vitals) The rest of the nurses and staff were really lovely.
